Kate Hudson Reveals She Isn't 'Impressed' With Her Holiday Weight Gain

January 6, 2020

If you ate your way through the holidays, don’t worry, you’re not alone.

On Thursday, Kate Hudson took to her Instagram Story to inform her fans about her holiday weight gain.

“Got on the scale … I wasn’t impressed,” Hudson said in the video. However, instead of being discouraged by the additional 10 pounds, the actress admitted she’s motivated to achieve her fitness goals in the new year.

“But that’s okay, because I know how to do this,” the Weight Watchers ambassador said.

Hudson has been vocal about her fitness journey and fluctuating weight after joining the team in December 2018.

The mom of three also said that she believes much of her current 136-pound weight is “mostly water weight.”

“I’m a muscular frame so I weigh more even though I’m lean … important for people to understand that!” she explained. “Weight in muscle is a happy number.”

The Fabletics spokesperson revealed that her “ideal weight” is 125 pounds, a weight goal she’s planning to achieve this year with the support of her fans and followers.

“I’m gonna bring you along on this ride,” she promised her followers.

This isn’t the first time Hudson has put her energy on getting back into shape.
Following the birth of her third child, Rani Rose, last October, Hudson told OK Magazine that said she enjoyed being athletic and challenging her body.

She also told PEOPLE that as a mother, it’s important to make “personal health” a priority.

“It’s hard when you have babies,” she said. “Everyone comes before you, and you have to find that time to just focus in on yourself.”
