Country musician Morgan Wallen was arrested over the weekend on public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges.

The 27-year-old took to Twitter to apologize saying, “we didn’t mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected.”

According to The Tennessean, Wallen was kick out of Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville this past Saturday night around 11PM for “kicking glass items.” Out on the street, police said Wallen got into verbal fights with passerby as officers watched.

His arrest warrant states, “officers gave (Wallen) several opportunities to walk away with his friends, but he refused to walk away.”

Wallen expressed remorse for his actions in a follow up tweet saying, “thank you to the local authorities for being so professional and doing their job with class.”

He is due in court in July to face the misdemeanor charges.

Morgan Wallen recently recorded his third number one single as “Chasin’ You” found its place at the top of the country chart.

The song is an autobiographical account of Wallen moving to Nashville to chase his dreams while he left a significant other behind. "This song is pretty special to me because... it was one of the first songs I wrote when I moved here," he said at the time, "just about something I was going through, and it kind of helped me get through it."

Wallen’s previous number one songs include “Whiskey Glasses” and “Up Down” with Florida Georgia Line. It marks the third number one single off his debut album If I Know Me.
