When I think of the Girl Scouts, I think of thin mint cookies and my daughter Vivian. What do the Girl Scouts do a LOT of? Community service.

Vivian's troop just cleaned up all the garden & flower beds in our community schools over the last few weeks, getting ready for school.

The scouts in Batavia? They made a plan for the *entire* community - they created a "Little Free Pantry" food pantry that anyone can donate and take from ... it's located on Webster St, in front of the Unity of Fox Valley Church.

Why now? They found the need after learning that local food pantries have been severely low for months in the pandemic.

On the front of the cabinet, it reads: "Give what you can, take what you need."
