July 17, 2018

Kane Brown does what when he walks into a bar and sees the jukebox? What's the ONE thing his fiance is letting him plan for their wedding?

This and so much more in our backstage conversation from #US99WindyCitySmokeout Sunday afternoon >>>>

Kane Brown got his start like most millennials these days -- on social media.

He auditioned on both American Idol and The X Factor after seeing how successful it was for high school friend and country singer Lauren Alaina.

In 2013, he was chosen for X-Factor but parted ways with the program when they tried to put him in a boy band.

He began posting his cover versions online which acquired him a massive following and began going viral.

By 2014, he had a record deal and by 2015, he released his first EP titled Closer which was then followed by new single, "Used to Love You Sober."

In December of 2016, he released his first full-length album, the self-titled Kane Brown, which included hit single "What If."

In 2017, he became the first artist to have simultaneous number ones on all five main country charts.
