A lot happened over the weekend in the country music industry and Erin has your top stories with her Deep Dish on Country!

Jake Owen took to social media on Friday to make two HUGE announcements!

  • First, he will be going out on tour with Lady Antebellum and Maddie & Tae this summer!!
  • The three acts released a hilarious video of them in a bar trying to decide what song to sing on tour together and after many failed attempts, they found just the right one!

#Ocean2020Tour!! We can't wait to be back on the road this summer—and this time around we'll have very special guest @jakeowenofficial with @maddieandtae! Ticket info coming soon. Until then...any karaoke cover requests? --

  • Then Jake Owen uploaded another video of him wearing a cast on his arm and explained that while trying to teach his daughter what not to do while riding a skateboard he did just that and fell off and broke his wrist! No worries, though, he ensured everyone that he will be ready to go starting in May for the Ocean 2020 Tour!

Happy “New” Year.... story of my life. @jordanspieth @attproam @ladyantebellum

  • As of now, it has been reported that half a billion animals and plants have been killed as well as 24 people in the devastating wildfires.
  • They say they made their pledge public to encourage and inspire others to make donations as well saying anything helps
  • Other celebrities have also shown support with Pink donating another $500,000 and many other country singers including Dan + Shay and Morgan Evans reaching out to fans on social media asking for any help or donation

Our family’s support, thoughts, and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia. We are donating $500,000 to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now. - KU
