Jordan Davis is not letting the COVID-19 pandemic stop him from releasing new music!

Today (5/22) he dropped his self-titled EP with 6 new songs including 'Almost Maybes,' his duet with pop star Julia Michaels 'Cool Anymore' and the highly anticipated 'Chuch in a Chevy.'

Davis took to Instagram earlier this week to explain why the song 'Church in a Chevy' means so much to him. He remembers writing the song while feeling extremely overwhelmed on tour right before his daughter was born. He connected those feelings he felt then to what everyone is feeling now during this pandemic and he wants people to remember, "Things are crazy right now, and while some of us can’t even get to church, I firmly believe God will meet us where we’re at."

When we wrote “Church in a Chevy” it felt like it was more for me than anyone else. I was traveling like crazy and our daughter Eloise was about to be born and to be honest, I was overwhelmed. Great things were happening, and I knew how fortunate I was, but I felt like life was flying right by me. When we sat down and wrote “Church In A Chevy”, I felt like my co-writers Matt and Josh were reading my mind and the song that came out that day punched me in the face. Fast forward six months and this song is just as relevant to me now than it was then, and I hope it’s the same for you. Things are crazy right now, and while some of us can’t even get to church, I firmly believe God will meet us where we’re at. I’m excited for you to hear this song and hope y’all are able to find some peace during this crazy time!

Davis also dropped the music video for the song that he shot with only a three-person crew at a safe distance.
