It was only a matter of time before a broadcast company created a TV show about the current pandemic, quarantine, and social distance guidelines. NBC is the first one to do with their new scripted comedy series Connecting.

The entire show will be filmed remotely, only through video chats. (Is this maybe a little too real?)

The series will follow a group of friends trying to remain close and sane through video chats as they share the highs and lows of these extraordinary times.

While most TV production has been halted due to the pandemic, this show can begin filming immediately since it is all filmed remotely with the cast separated.

The new single-camera series is written and executive produced by Blindspot creator Martin Gero and has been given a straight to series order of eight episodes.

It is unknown when the new comedy will air, but it is one of the first scripted shows to document the time of the coronavirus.
