Residents in Plainfield, IL have banded together to create the HOPE (Helping Our Plainfield Essentials) challenge helping both local restaurant owners and local essential service workers.

The way it works:

- Place an order at a local restaurant for to-go or delivery

- Have food delivered or drop it off yourself to a local essential service workplace

- Make a positive impact on your community

The challenge hopes to inspire residents to help serve the essential workers such as the Post Office people, healthcare employees, grocery store workers, vet clinic personnel, etc. by ordering them food from a local business. Both parties will be grateful for the help: the essential workers will love the free food and the restaurants will appreciate the business.

Here are some Facebook screenshots of people who have participated and are committed to helping others.
