It was officially announced yesterday that Taylor Swift WILL be able to sing her old songs during her AMA Artist of the Decade performance!

  • A few months ago Swift parted ways with her old record label, Big Machine, and since then she has been caught in the middle of many litigations over music licensing.
  • The president of the label, Scott Borchetta, and new label partner, Scooter Braun, now own the rights to Taylor's old songs and she can no longer make money off those recordings
  • When it was announced that Swift was receiving the Artist of the Decade Award at the American Music Awards, it also came out that due to the legalities, she was not allowed to perform ANY of her songs released by Big Machine, which is ALL of her albums expect Lover
  • She then took to Twitter to share the news along with her frustrations. All the Swifties rallied together and it started a social media storm!
  • After meetings and discussions, it was released that Swift can, in fact, perform her older songs on the AMAs (thank gosh!)
  • Tune into the award show on Sunday, November 24th

She's won more #AMAs than anyone this decade... She's a five-time 2019 #AMAs nominee... AND she's performing at this year's #AMAs LIVE on Nov. 24...@taylorswift is our ARTIST OF THE DECADE! ----✨
