Chris Harrison, the godfather/host of Bachelor Nation, has been very vocal that the coronavirus pandemic has made the famous Bachelor/Bachelorette franchises seriously rethink the way the show is filmed and produced.

Season 16 of The Bachelorette, with Clare Crawley as the lead, was supposed to begin filming in March, but then COVID-19 took over and even Harrison was skeptical about how the series could go on.

Great news for Bachelor Nation, though, filming has begun and a new season will officially air in the fall!

BUT the show is going to look a lot different this year: there will be no Bachelor mansion, exotic vacations, or crazy adrenaline-induced dates. Nope, instead, the entire season will be filmed in one location.

Yes, that means every date, cocktail party, and rose ceremony will all take place at the same place.

Oh did we mention though that the 'one location' is actually a large lavish resort that puts even the Bachelor mansion to shame? The season will be filmed at La Quinta Resort & Club, a resort located in La Quinta, California, which is one of the most popular destinations for Coachella goers.

The resort has 41 pools, 53 hot spas, 23 tennis courts, five golf courses, seven restaurants, AND 796 guest rooms across its 1,400-acre property. AND some of the hotel suites and villas include personal pools and hot tubs, which will surely be used frequently.

This particular resort was chosen as the location because of the amount of space available for the cast and crew to spread out while filming. Everyone including producers and cameramen will live on-site, COVID-19 testing will happen before filming, regular temperature checks will occur throughout the season and everyone will be quarantined for 14 days before filming can begin.

The show is taking no chances when it comes to the virus and is committed to following all the safety guidelines and procedures to ensure that another season of The Bachelorette is ready for the fans in the fall.
