Erin has your top 3 moments from last night's CMT Artist of the Year Awards!

1. Reba McEntire was honored as the Artist of a Lifetime with moving tributes from Lady Antebellum, Vince Gill, and Sam Hunt

  • Sam Hunt ended up bringing down the house and closing the show with a cover of one of Reba’s biggest hits ‘Fancy’

2. One of the recipients for the Artist of the Year Award was Stars and Strings performer Kane Brown

  • He gave a tearful acceptance speech as he dedicated the award to his drummer Kenny Dixon that passed over the weekend in a tragic car accident

  • He has since postponed some of his shows as he and his crew are taking time to heal and process
  • Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his band

3. Also at the awards show when Thomas Rhett went up to accept his award, he did something he called ‘unconventional’ and asked if he could pray over everyone in the audience.

  • He asked to lift up Kane and his family along with his drummer Kenny’s family.

  • It was amazing to see everyone in the crowd bow their heads and close their eyes while Rhett prayed on stage.
  • Truly a moment to remember for the country music community.
