First Female Pilot To Do What?! #GoodVibes

There is a female helicopter pilot that made history this week.

Capt. Anneliese Satz became the first female Marine to pilot the F-35, a next-generation joint strike fighter aircraft.

She completed her fighter jet training this summer at the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, South Carolina. Satz has been a commercial helicopter pilot for years and credits that as what has prepared her for a career in military aviation.

The F-35 is a  supersonic stealth vessel designed to operate from short-field bases and near front-line combat zones.

Satz is now on her way to Iwakuni, Japan, to join a unit called the Green Knights, which is a United States Marine Corps aircraft squadron operating the F-35.

Her accomplishment is incredible and joining the Green Knights at all is huge, let alone as a female.

Satz is an inspiration to all females that want to compete in a 'male-dominated industry' and we hope more girls follow in her footsteps. #GoodVibes
