Facebook Friday with Lindsay Ell!

July 22, 2019

Lindsay Ell took over our US*99 Facebook a few weeks before she hit the stage as part of the All Female Lineup on the Friday of LakeShake

She could not have been more excited to join the amazing group of women and perform on Friday! She kept saying this is unlike any festival she has ever played and it is truly a one of a kind lineup! At the end of the night on Friday all the women including Lindsay, Cassadee Pope, and Lauren Alaina joined Miranda Lambert and the Pistol Annies on stage to perform a cover of 'Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' by U2. Such an incredible moment!

Thank you for creating this moment, @mirandalambert. ---- I am SO inspired by all of these women. -- #Repost @mirandalambert ・・・ Strength in numbers. Thank you to these girls for inspiring me. So proud to stand on the stage with each one of you. #girlsrule --: @bfluke

She started her Facebook Live with, "I would live in Chicago if I could. It's the most perfect city." I mean she's not wrong!

And she talked about her NEW MUSIC! She is offically starting to record a new album!! Her first album The Project was released in 2017 and then in 2018 she released an album covering John Mayer's entire Continuum record. If you have not heard either, you NEED to go listen!

Lindsay also kept urging the US*99 listeners to vote for the CMT Awards because her and Brantley Gilbert were nominated for Collaborative Video of The Year for their hit single 'What Happens in a Small Town.'  The song is currently in the Top 20 on the country charts! (Unfortunately, the two did not end up winning, but the video is still amazing!)

She joked that while on the red carpet with Brantley she feels like she is 'ruining his rocker image' due to her colorful outfits and bubbly personality. BUT she said he is the nicest guy ever and loved working with him on the song and the music video. On the set of the video she said he was amazing to everyone around him and kept making sure the crew had enough food and coffee. Despite his outward image, Brantely is definitely a teddy bear at heart.

Pure insanity. -- That was a night @brantleygilbert and I will never forget.... Thank you @cma for letting us play #WHIAST to 60,000 last night. #CMAFest --: @taylorgkelly

Lindsay ended the stream by answering some fan questions including who are her musical inspirations. She has always looked up to Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and Sugarland and loved being able to tour with them over the past couple of years. She is also a huge fan of The Tedeschi Trucks Band and even went to their concert alone. No shame in that!

Oh AND she also sang a few unrelased songs, so yeah you need to watch the whole video!!!
