Summer Playlist: Billy Currington Edition

Top 5 Songs You Need To Listen To Before You See Him in Concert

May 15, 2019

Get ready for the first party of the summer! Billy Currington is opening for Rascal Flatts' ‘Summer Playlist Tour’ at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre tomorrow!!

Currington is one of those artists that you know is extremely talented, but you don't necessarily realize how many hits he’s had until you see him in concert -- since he's been killing it for over a decade!!! Then you're in the crowd and it’s just jam, after jam, after jam... you hear yourself singing all the words to songs you LOVE and just hadn't put two and two together! And then you’re like "Dang, I’m a HUGE Billy Currington fan!" He truly is a master storyteller. AND since he is on the ‘Summer Playlist Tour’ here is a playlist with some bangers that are sure to pump you up for the concert.

1. I Got A Feelin’ – Truly an oldie but a goodie. Bet you forgot he even sang this! This is a great song to hear live while drinking a beer and dancing with your best friends. It’s infectious and easy to sway to (but not too much, you don't want to spill your beer!)

2. We Are Tonight - This is the greatest 'driving around with the windows rolled down' kinda song. Best to listen to it at maximum volume while yelling all the lyrics! Fun Fact: Sam Hunt actually wrote this song and also sings it on tour.

3. Must Be Doin’ Something Right - One of the sexiest country songs of all time (in my opinion obviously). The longing in his voice and the soulful lyrics just make me feel some type of way, while also reminding me how painfully single I am *tear*. I feel like when heard live, this song will make you fall in love with the absolute stranger standing beside you and I’m here for it.

4. People are Crazy – This song gave me my life motto: “God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.” This is the best example of Currington’s storytelling about a man he met in a bar that ends up randomly putting him into his will. It restores our faith in humanity and proves that there are good people in the world.

5. Good Directions - The BIGGEST crowd pleaser. He normally closes his set with this song and the crowd goes absolutely nuts. This is another great song that tells an even greater story. I can’t wait to hear everyone yell, “Thank God for good directions…and turnip greens,” at the top of their lungs on tomorrow!

Obviously he has way more hits that just these 5 songs, but these to me are the greatest. Some honorable mentions also include Do I Make You Wanna, Don’t It, and Love Done Gone.
