A pair of glasses might not seem like an exceptional Christmas gift, but for a 16-year-old Georgia high school student living with colorblindness, they’ve changed the way he sees the world forever.

The holiday season was always tough for Shane Hammons because he was not able to see red and green colors due to a genetic condtiion.

When he found out that there were special glasses made for those who are colorblind, he immediately put those on the top of his Christmas wish list! His parents kept telling him to wait until after the holiday and they would buy them for him, but Shane could not wait!

He set up his own GoFundMe page and raised enough money to buy his own pair.

The glasses were delivered the other day and his mom recorded his reaciton to trying them on. Shane was overwhelmed with emotion and could not stop crying.

His mom wrote on Facebook, "being able to see colors each and everyday is a blessing and we fail to realize what a gift our senses really are!"

Shane was so thankful for everyone that contributed to his cause and for the glasses company that gave him the opportunity to see colors vividly for the first time! #GoodVibes
