WeatherTech CEO buys $6 Million Ad To Thank Veterinarians For Saving Dog's Life #GoodVibes

The CEO of the local car liner company WeatherTech, David MacNeil, received horrible news a few months ago regarding his beloved golden retriever, Scout.

He found out Scout had only a month to live after a veterinarian found the 7-year-old dog had cancer -- specifically a tumor on his heart.

Scout is not only MacNeil's pet, but also the unofficial mascot of his company, so MacNeil went to extreme measures to get a second opinion. He took a chance and brought Scout to the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison. At the time Scout only had a 1% chance of survival, but with aggressive radiation and chemotherapy, he is still alive today.

To show his appreciation to the school and all the veterinarians, MacNeil is paying $6 million for a Super Bowl ad to showcase their hard work and determination. He hopes those that see the commercial will then donate to the veterinary school’s research.

The spot will air Sunday night during the big game and will feature not only Scout, but also the University of Wisconsin staff who helped save his life. #GoodVibes
