The American Kennel Club announced two new dog breeds for 2020: The Barbet and the Dogo Argentino.

  • The barbet is a water dog from France.
    • It's very smart and friendly with a soft, curly coat perfect for petting and snuggling.
  • The Dogo Argentino is a slightly different vibe.
    • It's a hunting dog from Argentina and was originally developed to hunt large animals such as boars and mountain lions.

Customers spent almost $3.2 million dollars on legal weed in Illinois on the first day of marijuana sales Wednesday.

  • This marks one of the strongest showings of any state in the history of pot legalization.​
  • In total, 77k customers bought marijuana on the 1st, spending $41 on average.
  • The lines were long and we can expect them to continue through the weekend. 

It’s that time again, the Christmas tree recycling program is set to wrap up Christmas in the city of Chicago.

  • Starting tomorrow you can drop off your tree off through the 18th at 20 park locations throughout the city. 
  • Starting Tuesday, six locations will give away free mulch on a first come first serve basis.
  • City officials remind you to take all your lights and ornaments off the tree.

  • The photo shows ice cubes floating in the bowl of milk, kind of mixed in with his Frosted Mini-Wheats.
  • He asked the question "Anyone else put ice cubes in their cereal?,"
  • He got a resounding "no" from his Twitter followers.
  • One person said "This is 100% the wrong way to start off 2020."
