Katie has all your Wednesday news with Bright Bytes!

A guy on Wheel of Fortune had quite an introduction this week and the video has gone viral!

  • Blair Davis is a trucking business owner and offered a biting introduction for himself saying, "I’ve been trapped in a loveless marriage for the last 12 years to an old battle-ax named Kim. She cursed my life with three step-children named Star, RJ, and Ryan, and I have one rotten grandson.”

  •  He said this all with a smile, and Pat Sajak responded with a laugh, adding, "No wonder you're on the show, you just wanted to get away from everybody."
  • After this Sajak noted that Davis was joking and Davis warmly told the host he loves his family "like nobody's business."

Senator Elizabeth Warren was the focus of fire on a crowded Democratic debate stage last night in Ohio.

  • All 12 of the Democratic presidential candidates gathered with Warren who is pulling even with or even passing former Vice President Joe Biden in the polls, and many of the other candidates now apparently viewing her as the frontrunner.
  • Warren was repeatedly accused of ducking questions about whether she'll raise taxes to pay for her Medicare-for-All plan, as she continues to say middle class people will see their overall costs go down, and her "wealth tax."
  • Warren was accused of not being straightforward and other candidates charge her approach is "punitive."

Chipotle has launched a program that will allow all employees who have worked at the company for 120 days or more to attend college for free!

  • The Mexican chain says it will cover 100% of tuition costs for 75 business and technology degrees.
  • Chipotle is the latest retailer to use tuition reimbursement as a lure for workers.
  • Both Walmart and Disney have previously announced similar programs.

Tiger Woods announced yesterday that he is writing a memoir.

  • It's his first and the book will be called, Back.
  • It'll cover Woods' life starting from when he was a golf prodigy as a boy and through to him becoming the youngest Masters champion AND the only player to hold all four major championships at the same time.
  • It will also go into his decline following injuries and headline-grabbing personal issues that led to his divorce, as well as his comeback from four back surgeries to win the Masters for his 15th career major at age 43.

I’ve been in the spotlight for a long time, and because of that, there have been books and articles and TV shows about me, most filled with errors, speculative and wrong. This book is my definitive story. Link in bio for more information.
