Brigid Kosgei Set a World Record at the Chicago Marathon #BrightBytes

Katie has all the news you might have missed over the weekend with Bright Bytes!

In the Chicago Marathon this weekend, Brigid Kosgei won in world-record fashion!

  • Kosgei is from Kenya and finished with the time of 2:14:04 which puts her more than a minute faster than the all-time record set in 2003 by Paula Radcliffe in London.
    • Radcliffe was there to congratulate her!

Joker topped the box office for the second weekend in a row!

  • It brought in $55 million this week and has generated $543 million in its first 12 days of release.
  • The Addams Family came in with a solid second place debut at $30 million,
  • AND Will Smith's Gemini Man rounded out the top three with $20.5 million. 

 The annual Sherwin-Williams Designer Panel interviewed 250 top interior designers and decorators, and they predicted three popular trends that will be going out of style in 2020

  • 1All-White or All-Gray Decor: The designers said these looks are "too sterile and cold" for everyday living, and that gray will become more of an accent color. 
  • 2. Farmhouse Style:  Say goodbye to shiplap, barn doors, Shaker-style cabinets, and signs with words on them. 
  • 3. Bold Accent Walls: Top designers believe these will go away as well
