The arrival of “Hans Haacke: Gift Horse” at The Art Institute of Chicago will mark the sculpture’s first appearance in North America. The massive sculpture was originally unveiled in London’s Trafalgar Square. The bronze work will be displayed on the @artinstitutechi’s outdoor terrace through July 14. “This means Chicagoans will get to observe it against a backdrop of fall foliage, blanketed by the inevitable snowfall, and bathed in the light of spring,” wrote Chicago magazine.
