Prince Harry of Wales, the youngest son of Prince Charles of Wales and Princess Diana, is GETTING MARRIED!! It truly shocked the world to hear that the bachelor would finally be settling down, but we'd be lying if we didn't take some pride in knowing his future bride had ties to Chicagoland... Meghan Markle is a Northwestern Grad!!! If you are like me and 2/5 of the Spice Girls, your invite seems to have gotten lost in the mail... NO BIGGIE.

Chicago, Kingdom of Winds, cordially invites you to this year's royal wedding!!! Though the event will be going on bright and early (the downside to being on the otherside of the globe), the best part about this invite is its versatility (the brightside of being on the otherside of the globe). You are allowed to choose where you want to watch the event AND continue the celebrations after!

Windy Kitty Cafe - Wicker Park

Enjoy the Royal occasion with a couple of feline friends!! The Windy Kitty Cafe will be opening its doors at 5:30am (this place is taking the royal nuptials seriously & we're here for this) on Saturday. For $20 you, your friends and plenty of cats can gossip about the Queen’s choice in hat color and why dogs are so weird... Leave your own cat at home though, and make a new Cat-panion! For more information, and better cat puns, visit the Windy Kitty Cafe online here.

R Public House - Rogers Park

While many places will be re-broadcasting the event to allow you to get your beauty-sleep, The Public House will open their doors at 5:45 am. We all know calories don't count until 10 am, so plenty of tea and scones while these two love birds say "I Do" won't hurt in the least!! The festivities and fun start at 6 am! As they say, if the... wise... queen can get up for the Royal wedding, so can you! More for your royal morning here

AMC Theaters - ALL across Chicago

Love like this normally only happens on the big screen, so grab some popcorn and enjoy the wedding ON one!! AMC Theaters across Chicago will be airing the encore broadcast of the wedding festivities starting at 10 am (thank you for not rousing us from our beds at unmentionable times for a weekend). For the first time ever, a royal wedding will be in the cinemas and YOU can be there to enjoy it!!! Best part? It is all commercial free -- just like if you were there! (Or listening to Commercial Free Mondays on US*99 of course!) Find the closest AMC theater showing the royal wedding on AMC’s website here.

InFlorEscence Chicago - Ukrainian Village

No need to put on your finest gown or tux for this wedding! In fact, it's frowned upon because InFlorEscence Chicago is hostinga PJ watch party!! So just roll out of bed & make your way to Ukranian Village for a live viewing starting at 6 am (early, yes -- but PJs!!!). For $10 you can get sweets from Top Chef contestant Malika Ameen, bridal shades from Essie's and even a photo op with the newly married couple!! For some extra fun, a $15 ticket comes with alcohol. Best yet? All proceeds for the event will be going towards YWCA Metropolitan Chicago. Grab your favorite PJs and snag your tickets here.

Now if weddings aren't really your thing but you're ALL about receptions, we've got you too! Post-wedding celebrations in Chicago include:

The Kitchen Bistros - River North

Celebrate these two crazy kids with an afternoon reception in River North. Wedding cupcakes (YUM!), cocktails (PLEASE!) and plenty of fun (YES!) will be had to kick off the marriage between Prince Harry and Meghan! From 3-6 pm, you can enjoy the most royal cocktail reception this side of the Atlantic. You can even snag a photo with the happy couple (*not guaranteed to be a breathing version*)!

The Drake Hotel - Downtown Chicago

The Drake has the perfect reception for night owls! After taking in the beautiful event in the morning (or watching your recorded version), spend the night looking fancy and dancing the night away to Denise Tomasello and her 17-piece orchestra!! (Yeah, fancy!!!) Royal novelty will be sprinkled through the grand ballroom, where you will be enjoying a three-course meal, an open bar (my favorite), a cake cutting ceremony (you can't have a (royal) wedding without cake!) and a professional photographer! Three different ticket packages are available ranging from $100- $125, choose yours here.
