There is SO much to love about Maren Morris' new single and accompanying world tour...

The Message

Maren revealed that the inspiration for the song actually started as a conversation Maren was having with another woman. Maren was saying, "we don't need to be competitive with each other," and in doing so, Maren reflected that she wasn't only sending that message to the woman she was speaking with...

"I kind of realized that I was talking to myself, like I don't need to be so competitive with myself, like I am enough. And it just became a really powerful concept after that point," said Maren.

The Tour

Maren's Girl World Tour is set to kick off IN CHICAGO!!! (Can you tell how excited we are to get to experience it first?!) Then the tour will take her through America's biggest cities, including L.A., San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, Atlanta, Dallas, Philladelphia, Washington, D.C., Detroit, New York, Indiannapolis... (and more!!)... and then across the pond to Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Ireland, the U.K., New Zealand, Australia... (and even more!!!)

Fittingly, the Girl World Tour will feature female supporting acts on select dates -- RaeLynn & Cassadee Pope.

New Music

It's been 2 years since Maren released her major label debut album, Hero. That incredible album, with a sound entirely her own -- the soul & emotion behind her vocals is so deep you can feel it, the edge of her witty lyrics unapologetic as she speaks the truth -- has brought so much to Maren in two short years...

  • A No. 1 with her debut single, "My Church"
  • 2016 CMA nominations including: Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year (Hero), Song of the Year, Single of the Year
  • 2017 CMA nominations for: Female Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year & Musical Video of the Year (for her feature on Thomas Rhett's "Craving You")
  • 2018 CMA nominations for: Female Vocalist of the Year & Musical Event of the Year ("Dear Hate" feat. Vince Gill)
  • Winner of the CMA for New Artist of the Year (2016)
  • An International Song of the Year nomination at the British Country Music Association Awards for "My Church"
  • Grammy award nominations for Best New Artist, Best Country Album & Best Country Song (2017) as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance for "I Could Use a Love Song" (2018)
  • Winner of the Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance for "My Church" (2017)
  • ACM nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year & Single Record of the Year (2017) as well as ACM nominations in 2018 for Female Vocalist of the Year and TWO separate nominations in the Vocal Event of the Year Category for "Craving You" (with Thomas Rhett) and "Dear Hate" (with Vince Gill).
  • Winner of the ACM for New Female Vocalist of the Year (2017)

After the horrible tragedy in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival, Maren released "Dear Hate" feat. Vince Gill with all proceeds going to the Music City Cares Fund.

Her single, "80's Mercedes" also got her nominations at various award shows and was a Top 20 song on the country airplay charts

Maren's collaboration with Thomas Rhett on "Craving You," also got her another No. 1

She collaborated with Niall Horan on "Seeing Blind," and Zedd for "The Middle" (which would gain No.1 status on the Top 40 charts)

More Maren

Since Maren burst onto the scene in 2016, we've fallen in love with everything... Maren. She has a sound that's all her own, a voice with so much depth & emotion. She is unaplogetically herself -- I'll never forget her shutting down haters for making remarks on what she wears. She's strong. She's a role model & idol for girls, and this industry. She's what we need.

We can't wait to see her on her Girl World Tour and we can't wait to see her again at US*99 Country LakeShake (which her opening act/friend Cassadee Pope will also be at!!)
