Mitchell Tenpenny is an American country music singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee.

Before he hits the stage for our Country Class of 2019 show, we wanted to get to know him a little better!

1. His grandmother, Donna Hilley, is a former Sony / ATV President and CEO

2. He penned plenty of songs before pursuing a career of his own including Granger Smith's "If the Boot Fits."

3. He co-wrote all the songs on his album, 'Drunk on Me.'

4. He wrote "Walk Like Him" while grieving his late father. It's something his mother and grandmother always used to say to him. 

5. He's influenced by Vince Gill, John Mayer, and Michael Jackson.
