Rachel Wammack Gives Pep Talk About Love, Discusses 'Damage'

June 18, 2019

Since releasing her four-song EP in 2018, Rachel Wammack has received attention in the music world, joining the current class of CMT’s “Next Women in Country” and being selected for Rolling Stone, NPR and Amazon‘s “Best Music of 2018 List.”

Rachel Wammack released an acoustic version of her new song “Something People Say” on June 7. She also released a new single earlier this year, “Enough,” which Rolling Stone Country named as one of their 10 Best Country and Americana Songs to Hear Now.

"As many songs that I have written sadly about love and my first single out to radio, 'Love Can Do Some Damage', but it is love can do some damage, not love will do damage every time. My advice would be to never lose hope. I swore I would be single forever and never get married and never be happy and always be miserable over some ex and I am literally the happiest I have ever been," Rachel said.

And for that we say, congratulations to Rachel and her fiance!

After US99’s Country Lakeshake, Rachel Wammack will come back to Illinois on Aug. 18 for the Illinois State Fair. Rachel Wammack will also be a part of CMA’s Introducing Nashville fall European and U.K. Tour. The lineup also includes Danielle Bradbery, Devin Dawson, Travis Denning, and Chris Lane.
