Chicago TBOX Fans, You Could Have Partied with Brett Eldredge and Not Even Known It!

Brett Eldredge Sharing Stories with Stylz and Roman backstage at Smokeout

July 11, 2018

This is a man that needs no introduction, especially if you are a Cubs fan! Brett Eldredge returned to his hometown of Chicgao to headline day two of the Windy City Smokeout.

Stylz and Roman cought up with Brett before he took the stage to share some great memories from when Brett has been in town, "I walk in and you're head to toe in a Santa Claus outfit!  No one the entire day knew who I was."

"I do a lot of that stuff anyways, when I'm not in costume," Brett said.  "I posted that video of me limboing to Shania Twain's 'I Feel Like a Woman' and literally no one knew it.  They just thought it was some crazy guy doing the limbo."

Brett is a great follow on social media as he is always doing something fun.  Like chugging a beer while boogie boarding!

But he loves coming back to his hometown, so much so that he tries to schedule his tour dates for a free day before and after his shows here.

"When I come to Chicago I just try to remind myself of the kid that I was when I was running around here, commuting from Elmhurst College on the train.  I love to run on Lake Shore Drive, usually get close to getting ran over by a bicycle, but it's awesome."

The only thing better than Eldredge's music and heartwarming personality is his furry best friend, Edgar, who made a surprise appearance backstage with us at Smokeout! .

Eldredge first got his start in country music by co-writing the track "I Think I've Had Enough" for Gary Allan.

By 2010, he had a record deal and his debut single "Raymond" was released.

"Don't Ya" was released to country radio in 2012 and it became his first single to reach the top 20 of the Hot Country Songs chart and the Billboard Hot 100.
